Good evening. Although I am sure that no one is reading this, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Eric and I am a Certified Financial Planner in Overland Park, Kansas.
My first job out of college was with Edward Jones. Although I still believe Edward Jones is a good company, I could not see myself working there very long. After about a year, I decided it was time to find something with more stability.
My next job was with a fee-based financial planning firm in Overland Park, Kansas. I learned a lot in my two and a half years there and would not be in my current position without that experience.
My current position is as a Financial Planner with a fee-only financial planning firm in Overland Park, Kansas. We work with wealthy individuals all over the country. I truly believe that the fee-only financial planning model is the best model for clients. There is never a conflict of interest caused by investment or insurance sales. The clients best interest is always first.
Anyway, I do not plan to use my blog as a commercial for me or my firm. I just hope to use my blog as a way to share my experience with All Things Financial Planning. I will discuss a lot of topics, including investments, income taxes, budgeting, estate planning, insurance, retirement, and college savings.
